I am putting this on my radar and yours. Two restaurants (one new) have entered the culinary scene in Vancouver – gourmet and healthy!
Organic Lives
On Quebec at 2nd Ave in that big old brick building
www.organiclives.org
Open 9-9pm daily, they offer organic, vegan, gourmet food from their store and cafe. Apparently it’s so tasty you might not realize it’s vegan (nachos in particular)!! So if you have a friend with celiac disease, gluten-free or a vegetarion or vegan – gain points for introducing them to this brand new restaurant. Heck you might even like something!
I went – I had the sprouted walnut sushi roll – soooo yummy and filling! As well, the 1/2 side earth salad was delish and a decent price at $5! I will go back and try another sushi roll, the marinated mushrooms and maybe some chocolate delight for dessert!
Radha Yoga & Eatery
728 Main Street

Wednesday to Saturday, 6-10pm. They serve organic vegan food. I had a quick peak at their spring menu, um well, it looks….delicious! Not expensive. I am really intrigued to give it a try.
Even if you ate vegan or vegetarian once a week, just think how happy you would be making your body AND you would be opening your mind to something new!
also worth checking out for vegans looking for a classy dining experience:
